Cyberfriday

A term people use to mean internet shopping gone crazy. Usually it’s on CyberMonday that they shop and make stores and businesses happy with their spoils. But the day after Thanksgiving is reserved for those who peruse the internet hunting for stuff to buy as presents for their family and close friends, and for those managers looking for presents to get their loyal teams.

I don’t have the money to buy anything. I don’t have a job, I’m retired and I don’t have the strength to work for money. But I have to postpone my CyberMonday for next week if I were to buy a gift for my Pa and my pets Paco, Joey, Max and Katya. They are my closest family and I think the Good Lord they are my family.

I usually buy stuff for my family throughout the year so it’s not only on CyberMonday that I shop online. It’s just on my own personal schedule and my ability to pay for these items. Even now, the old creditors are sniffing around my neck to see if I’m going to crow about what finds I’ve made online so they can hold me up with a call or letter telling me that I have a debt that I’ve defaulted on.

Such is the life in the good old USA. Credit cards are rampant to the citizens of this good country. We, my family and I, learned too late how to manage our credit cards. So now we rely on cash transactions.

Nevertheless, I’m not unhappy. We have our place to live and our family and our food to keep us healthy. I am truly grateful for the Lord’s Presence in our lives and I pray we always please Him.

Happy Holidays to you and to your friends and family!
