I have noticed that 99% of the patients here are confined to wheelchairs. I’m seeming to be one of the very few patients that can walk around. The nursing home is bright and airy. The nurse’s station is in a rotunda at the center of activity. There are patient rooms that are located in hallways that branch out toward the end of the perimeter of the building.
They serve three meals a day. If a visitor comes to take a patient out for lunch or dinner they sign the patient out. Today my relatives from New Jersey are coming to bring us lunch. I’m looking forward to seeing them. It’s been so long since we have seen each other.
I’m still on tube feed. I have a good number of hours away from the feed, however. I’m free to roam around, go to the gym and visit the office and greet others who are on my way to get to where I’m going.
I consider myself lucky to have the use of my legs. I thank God for my health. My doctor saw me last month and had good things to say about my health.
I need to write again. I need to be occupied with things that use my mind. At this time, my focus is on my weight. I need to gain more weight in the coming weeks. Once I get to weigh what the doctors desire for me, I understand that the tube feed will be discontinued. That’s what is fueling my energy.
