THE THORN ON MY SIDE

Eversince they discovered that I suffered from hypothyroidism, I received a “thorn on my side”. One of the effects of this malady is constipation. I now take a stool softener every day to counteract this effect. It has been successful but there are days when I have no No 2. I patiently take my medicine as though it was as usual.

Today I had the runs. I am grateful for this blessing. I’d rather have a bowel movement that none at all. My only worry is that my BM can happen anytime of the day, night or early morning. I am apprehensive if I have to see someone like my doctor or nurse practitioner and I am incapacitated by the No 2.

I’ve been praying to God that He take care of me when this happens. Fortunately my appointments are few and far between.
