Happy Easter!

I wish to greet everyone a Happy Easter. Today, people are happy. Lent was a time of self-sacrifice. I remember talking to my best friend about how Lent was making me depressed. It never fails to do that, it seems. I think it was meant for me as a Catholic, to feel the sorrow of Jesus in view of his coming crucifixion. Bishop Fulton Sheen said it first that the agony in the garden was in sympathy with those who were suffering from mental stress, depression and angst. I was one of those who suffered with Jesus Christ in his agony. Just like I was with him in the Garden of Olives.

I have an app called Hallow. There the rosary is said, and led by Bishop Barron. He graphically describes Jesus suffering in the five mysteries of the rosary, the Sorrowful Mysteries. I dread saying the Sorrowful Mysteries for I feel sympathy with Jesus’ sufferings on his road to Calvary.

But all is good now. Jesus is Risen from the dead. I am happy now and look forward to spending time meditating on the rosary.
